Even though your license may be not be issued by New York state, many states still record traffic convictions from New York on your home state record.

For example, Driver Responsibility Assessment, at least $300 will be assessed to any driver with 6 points in 18 months. Just one speeding ticket for 21 mph over the limit is 6 points.
