Can I have access to the officer's dashboard camera footage?

by Seth Azria on 4/30/2019

Dashboard camera evidence may be available at a trial, but usually not before.

Having access to information prior to trial is generally know at law as “discovery.” New York Courts have held that while you do have a right to supporting deposition,  there is no constitutional right to general discovery in a traffic case.

This means that before actually beginning a trial, and perhaps having the prosecutor introduce the dash cam evidence, you do not generally have a right to see it.

I received a speeding ticket going around a truck that ice was flying off the back. I contacted A&B ( Ralph, Seth, Shannon) and they were able to get the fine reduced to no points. I would definitely recommend.

I have used their services numerous time and have never been let down. My go to for all traffic court matters.

Had 2 tickets that he helped get rid of the points added onto my license. Very helpful and friendly about answering questions on the process. He went in place for me in court and defended. All I had to do was email him information over email (and pay of course).
